Happy Birthday Miss O!

Our precious baby girl is now 1!  It really doesn't seem that long ago that we welcomed gorgeous little (or should I say chubby 9lb 10oz?!) Miss O to our family.  We were overwhelmed with joy to be blessed with a daughter and very thankful for her safe arrival after I fell down our front stairs when I was 38 weeks pregnant.

She was born with so much beautiful dark brown hair and had the most delightful chubby arms and the cutest round ears.  We marvelled at her wee little curled up legs and long toes.  She was indeed wonderfully made!

Master H was thrilled to meet Miss O.  He correctly guessed and had maintained the entire pregnancy that he was to have a baby sister.  His affection and protection of her is beautiful.  It is a joy to watch their relationship develop.  She loves to giggle with him.

Miss O is a delight.  A beautiful, placid baby who is growing up way too fast!  She is now crawling and starting to pull herself up on furniture.  She likes to dance, giggle and read books.

We are so glad that she is part of our family.  Happy birthday darling girl!

  1. What a gorgeous little girl you have there....Happy Birthday Miss O. Beautiful words and photos and what a beautiful pregnant woman you were. I'm expecting my first (at 41!) in February next year and cannot wait to experience motherhood. We are currently extending our little 2 bedroom cottage to make room for our growing family, which includes my partners 2. It's a busy and exciting time and I've loved reading your blog!

  2. Happy Birthday Miss O! What a gorgeous little thing she is (and I love the photos - beautiful.) I bet you're disappointed that your house wasn't ready for her birthday, but she won't remember this one. You'll be well and truly settled in for the next round of birthdays - not to mention the upcoming XMAS. xx

    1. Thanks Caroline. I was disappointed to not be home for her birthday but I've delayed the party for a few weeks so we can celebrate once we've settled back in. I am really looking forward to celebrating Christmas in the house too!!!
